The Historical Society of Rayleigh

The Society was formed in 1966 with the vision of promoting interest

in archaeological and natural history

both in Rayleigh and the surrounding districts.

The Society meets on the third Wednesday of every month (excluding August)

and provides a programme of speakers to give talks and presentations

in their chosen field of interest.

These meetings are held in the Main Hall at the rear of Holy Trinity Church,

off of the Hockley Road, Rayleigh and begin at 8.00 PM.

The Society has in excess of 180 members and the annual subscription

is £8 per person, which covers entry to the monthly meetings.

Visitors are most welcome at a cost of £1 per person per session.

Refreshments are available during the interval for a small donation.
